Native Women’s Resource Centre
Board Recruitment Posting

The Native Women’s Resource Centre is currently seeking dynamic and dedicated Aboriginal women to join our Board of Directors and help us to work towards achieving the goals and realizing the vision of the organization.

This is an opportunity to play an important role in the strategic development and direction of an established organization that provides unique programs and services within the Aboriginal community in Toronto.

The Native Women’s Resource Centre

The Native Women’s Resource Centre (NWRC) is an Aboriginal culture-based organization dedicated to delivering programs and services that empower and enrich the lives of Aboriginal women and children, building strong Aboriginal families and communities in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).  NWRC programs and services are initiated and designed specifically by and for Aboriginal women and include (but are not limited to): education and training, housing, literacy, family supports, food and clothing banks, language classes, youth programming, and leadership skills development.

Established in 1985, the Native Women’s Resource Centre has a long history of serving the Aboriginal community by realizing the vision of the founding Grandmothers, Aunties and Counsel to, “provide in a spiritual and culturally appropriate manner, the necessary resources to prepare Aboriginal women and children to make changes in their lives and communities.”  We are currently seeking new Board members who will bring their skills, experiences and creative ideas to help us in furthering this vision.
